Texas Memorial Museum is committed to making its exhibits, programs, and services accessible to everyone.
Weekday parking (7:30 am – 5:45 pm, Monday – Friday) for persons with disabilities is available in marked spaces adjacent to the elevator in the San Jacinto Garage. Vehicles must display the appropriately state-issued ADA placard or license plate to park in these spaces. On weekends, holidays, and after 5:45 pm on weekdays, disabled visitors displaying a state-issued ADA placard or license plate may park in ADA spaces on streets and surface lots without a UT permit. The accessible entrance to the museum is on Trinity St. south of the main entrance. From the San Jacinto Garage, exit at level 3 and follow the sidewalk and signs south along Trinity St. to the path leading to the accessible entrance. The door will be opened remotely by the guard once the call button is pushed.
All public areas of the Museum are wheelchair accessible, including the exhibit halls, Great Hall Shop, elevators, and restroom facilities. Accessible restrooms are available on the 1st and 4th floors. A unisex or companion assisted restroom is available on the 4th floor.
